Entry‑Level Fire Protection Engineer – Coffman Engineers Houston office is growing and is seeking an engineer who is passionate about fire protection and eager to develop professionally.
Responsibilities- Design automatic suppression systems.
- Design fire detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
- Conduct code analysis.
- Perform egress analysis.
- Evaluate fire‑resistant construction.
- Analyze smoke control.
- Research and apply general fire protection and life safety concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Fire Protection preferred).
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT preferred.
- General building construction knowledge preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on a high‑functioning team.
