JOB FUNCTION

Test Engineers are responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of a product. They are involved in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • 4 years of high school completion, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • EMET or equivalent experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly, testing, debugging, or test equipment programming.

REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proactive and able to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Work well with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong ownership and organization skills.
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast‑paced, results‑oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
  • Hardware tools:
    Scopes (digital/analog), Multimeter (DMM), Logic analyzer, PC.
  • Operating systems: DOS, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Windows NT.
  • Bilingual (English & Chinese) preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interact with customers to provide Design for Testability analysis during the product design phase.
  • Develop test strategies and processes for new product releases.
  • Develop, verify, and integrate the hardware, software, and firmware to test the final products.
  • Design and develop test fixtures and equipment.
  • Find root causes and develop solutions for failures.
  • Develop and update documents and TPI to establish testing requirements and troubleshooting processes.
  • Document technical issues and solutions.
  • Install new test diagnostic when it releases.
  • Monitor all test fixtures inside production and troubleshoot when they report malfunctions.
  • Create and develop SOPs for new test equipment.
  • Maintain schedules for each test equipment.
  • Update test diagnostics when new firmware releases via SECN.
