Test Engineer; G-Project

Main Function

• EQUIPMENT SELECTION: The Test Engineer will be responsible for specifying machine type, expected throughput, yields and required equipment manning, liaising with customers as needed.
• EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE: The Test Engineer will ensure manufacturing equipment meets supplier specs and quotation requirements, achieving target yields and quality.
• TESTER MAINTENANCE: The Test Engineer will maintain equipment, plan preventive maintenance, support line break‑downs, oversee major overhauls, and forecast and order spare parts and consumables.

• EQUIPMENT SELECTION: Design the test process for new products in collaboration with the Product Engineer and specify testers and new technologies.
• NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION: Oversee start‑up to ensure the test process operates as designed, proving throughput and yields and establishing the manufacturing hand‑over process.
• QUALITY: Collaborate with the quality group to develop quality plans and resolve tester/software/process issues.
• TEAMWORK: Cooperate across all departments, act pro‑actively and lead on test‑related issues.
• DOCUMENTATION: Produce process documentation and test programs for production builds, ensuring accurate pin‑outs.
• ECN ACTIVITY: Participate in change‑control meetings and implement approved changes.
• TEST EQUIPMENT: Handle major equipment movements, installations, negotiate third‑party service contracts, and maintain spares.
• QUOTATIONS/TOOLING: Specify and order test fixtures for new customers and account for non‑recurring expenses.

The Test Engineer must recognize its importance in providing customer satisfaction and strive to deliver quality products, services, and communications.

• Relevant college or university degree.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Special PC skills (e.g., CAD).
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
