Job Description
Are you passionate about driving environmental, health, and safety excellence across a global manufacturing organization to create lasting impact on people and the planet? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As our new Divisional & US EHS Senior Manager, you will be leading EHS strategy and deployment across an entire Grundfos Division, spanning Operations, Sales & Service, and Staff functions by collaborating with leadership teams, coaching local EHS managers, and ensuring our ambitious sustainability and safety targets become reality. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.
Whatyou will be doing
As a key part of the Group EHS (GEHS) team, you'll create impact by driving measurable improvements in workplace safety, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and water stewardship by translating Grundfos Group EHS ambitions into divisional action and results.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary EHS voice in the Division and in the US network, guiding leadership teams on EHS ambitions, sustainability topics, and enabling continuous performance improvements.
- Indirectly manage and develop local EHS managers through onboarding, mentoring, site visits, performance input, and review of local EHS plans to ensure alignment with Group ambitions.
- Set divisional and plant‑level EHS targets, manage investment project pipelines, and ensure divisional leadership is informed on project status and priorities.
- Set direction on ISO certification maintenance, Grundfos Production Systems EHS pillar improvements, and deployment of Group EHS requirements, programs, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives across sites.
- Monitor EHS KPIs (LTIR, TRIR, energy, CO2, water, waste), oversee incident investigation and corrective actions, and lead performance discussions in divisional review meetings.
- Build the capabilities needed to deliver on GEHS purpose and ensure our business impact supports Grundfos strategic direction in close collaboration with peers in the global GEHS Leadership Team.
Above all, you are a seasoned EHS leader with strong stakeholder management skills, proven ability to drive results through influence rather than direct authority, and deep expertise in manufacturing EHS management systems and sustainability. We would also imagine that you have:
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in a global manufacturing environment, including indirect leadership of distributed EHS teams.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and regulatory EHS frameworks across multiple geographies and specifically US regulatory EHS frameworks.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable EHS KPI improvements (safety incident rates, energy, CO2 emissions, water).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with project management, people leadership and strategy deployment.
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and external assurance audits.
- Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CMIOSH, or equivalent).
You’ll also be available for travelling up to 60 days per year.
Benefits- A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home‑working opportunities and parental support.
- Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well‑being activities.
- Three days’ additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
- Access to on‑demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programs to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
