We are seeking an Avionics Production Engineer for an important client supporting aerospace/avionics production operations. This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience supporting avionics components, harnessing, electronics, PCB/EEE parts, and electromechanical assembly through the full production lifecycle.
About the Role
The selected candidate will work closely with leadership, engineers, technicians, procurement, and production teams to support daily manufacturing execution, resolve production issues, and ensure hardware moves efficiently through the production process.
Responsibilities
- Translate engineering procedures, drawings, and technical documentation into clear production workplans
- Support avionics hardware production with a focus on harnessing, electronics, PCB, EEE parts, and electromechanical assembly
- Partner with leadership to manage daily priorities and production workplans
- Track, manage, and drive hardware/production issues to closure
- Coordinate with engineering, technicians, procurement, and kitting teams to support production needs
- Assist with procurement tracking, issue resolution, and production constraints
- Review discipline-specific drawings, vendor documentation, and manufacturing requirements
- Support a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary aerospace production environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, avionics production, or electronics manufacturing
- Experience with harnessing, wire harnesses, PCB, EEE parts, or electromechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and vendor documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience supporting production issue resolution, documentation, kitting, or procurement coordination
- Ability to adapt to evolving project and department needs
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Boltline or similar production tracking/work planning tools
- Familiarity with MS Project or similar scheduling tools
- Prior experience working in avionics, aircraft, spacecraft, defense, or aerospace manufacturing environments
