Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Actin Development Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced robotic systems for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Actin and Energid robotic control software, strong programming skills, and expertise in ROS and embedded systems. This role involves both software development and field deployment, requiring the ability to work in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems tailored for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling applications.
- Integrate sensors and control systems for autonomous drilling, manipulation, and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to prototype and test robotic control solutions.
- Develop software for real-time control, telemetry, and remote operation of robotic platforms.
- Conduct field trials and validation tests in simulated and live oil & gas environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Analyze performance data and optimize robotic systems for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Document engineering processes, test results, and system configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 6 7 years of strong Angular experience.
- Hands-on experience with Actin and Energid robotic control software.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and embedded systems.
- Experience with sensors used in oil & gas robotics (ultrasonic, inductive proximity, LiDAR, pressure).
- Hands-on experience with ROS Industrial 2.0, RViz, Move It.
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel to remote sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in oil & gas robotics or automation projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with real-time control and telemetry systems.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate with operations, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead workshops and training sessions.
