Senior Reservoir Engineer-hybrid

Walker Elliott is partnering with an upstream oil & gas company in Houston seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to support asset development, reservoir performance evaluation, and development planning within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with geology, operations, and leadership teams while contributing to technical and commercial decisions across active unconventional assets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir and well performance to support development and optimization strategies

• Identify drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities to maximize asset value

• Perform forecasting, decline analysis, material balance, and production performance evaluations

• Support development planning efforts and help advance projects from concept to execution

• Build and utilize reservoir simulation models to improve performance predictions and evaluate uncertainty

• Prepare economic evaluations, reserves support, accruals, and forecasting analysis

• Monitor industry and offset operator activity to benchmark performance and identify trends

• Deliver technical presentations and project updates to internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required;
Petroleum Engineering preferred

• 5+ years of reservoir engineering experience with an E&P operator

• Experience supporting unconventional oil & gas development programs preferred

• Strong technical background in forecasting, reserves, and production analysis

• Experience with industry software such as ARIES/Val Nav, Harmony, Spotfire

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
