Job Summary:

AUC Group is seeking an experienced Piping & Mechanical CAD Designer to support the design and detailing of wastewater treatment systems. This role involves translating engineering concepts, P&IDs, sketches, and field measurements into complete and accurate design packages. Responsibilities include equipment and piping layouts, piping supports, structural components, tanks, walkways, access platforms, and other fabricated assemblies. The ideal candidate is proficient with parametric modeling tools (Inventor, Solid Works, Creo, etc.)

and can coordinate with engineers, field crews, and design staff to develop buildable layouts that eliminate installation conflicts.

This position is well-suited for individuals who can visualize complex systems, understand industrial piping and structural relationships, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced project environment.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop accurate design packages-including equipment layouts, piping, supports, structural components, tanks, and fabricated assemblies-based on engineering inputs and field data.

* Collaborate with Design and Project Engineers to refine design intent and incorporate required changes throughout the project lifecycle.

* Integrate vendor drawings, technical specifications, and 3D models into project designs.

* Participate in site visits to collect measurements, verify installation conditions, and document findings.

* Support field teams by resolving design issues and providing quick-turn solutions when unexpected conditions arise.

* Maintain adherence to departmental standards, drawing conventions, and CAD best practices.

* Modify and manage project parameters within modeling software to maintain consistency and support design automation.
