Job Title:
GNC Simulation Software Engineer
Design, analyze, and implement GNC algorithms and simulations for aerospace vehicles. Maintain and develop analysis tools, regression test scenarios, Monte Carlo framework, and simulation architecture. Perform 6‑DOF modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to evaluate system behavior under both nominal and off‑nominal conditions. Build high‑fidelity dynamic models of vehicles, sensors, actuators, and environmental models. Conduct Monte Carlo analyses and sensitivity studies to validate robustness and reliability.
Validate simulation models against test data and engineering expectations. Use programming languages including C/C++, Python, and Matlab (or similar) to develop simulations. Collaborate with embedded software teams to integrate, test, and verify GNC functionality on hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) systems. Support the development of requirements, interface definitions, and verification plans for flight software.

- 5+ years of software experience.
- 5+ years in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
- Experience with NASA GUNNS and TRICK Simulation Software.
- Flight vehicle experience.
- Proficiency in Simulink and software development.
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
