Piping Designer – Oil, Gas & Chemical Projects
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join a growing engineering team supporting industrial and energy infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative design solutions across oil, gas, and chemical facilities while working alongside experienced multidisciplinary professionals.
Position OverviewThe Piping Designer will support engineering and design activities related to industrial process facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience developing piping layouts, field drawings, and construction-related design documentation while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and revise piping design drawings and layouts
- Support project teams with design coordination and technical documentation
- Interpret and apply industry standards, specifications, and drafting practices
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines to resolve design questions
- Assist with field drawing updates and as‑built documentation
- Maintain organized project files and meet assigned deadlines
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and design efficiency
- Associate degree, technical certification, or high school diploma with relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of piping design experience preferred
- Experience supporting industrial, chemical, oil & gas, or process facility projects
- Understanding of piping layouts, symbols, and drafting standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Familiarity with construction or field coordination processes
- Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery excellence
