Experienced Environmental Technician – Houston, Texas

Intertek is actively seeking an Environmental Technician to join the Environmental team in Houston, Texas. This role offers a versatile career in environmental consulting, supporting services such as Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos & lead‑based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and field observation documentation.

• Support the department in all environmental services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos & lead‑based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and field observation documentation.
• Assist in fieldwork, detailed field reporting, subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions.
• Provide support in planning, monitoring, controlling project budgets, and building solid relationships with clients and team members.

Shift/

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary). Travel up to 25% of the time depending on project load/location.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of proven technical environmental consulting with Phase I ESAs and/or asbestos inspection experience.
• Detail‑oriented, team player with excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and time and budget management skills.
• Computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment related to the discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

• BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• Current, valid Texas Asbestos License.
• Texas licensed Asbestos Consultant.
• OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER Training.
