ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Buyer – Operations & Services will support procurement activities focused on the operational phase of the client's power generation assets. The primary focus of this role is negotiating and administering Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with OEM suppliers for power generation equipment, coordinating with O&M subcontractors, and putting in place a range of services agreements as needed, including Consulting Service Agreements, Technical Service Agreements, Task Orders, and NDAs.
This is an Owner‑side role requiring direct experience negotiating LTSAs and a strong working knowledge of the commercial and technical provisions that govern long‑term equipment service relationships.
- Draft, negotiate, and execute Long Term Service Agreements with OEM suppliers for power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, and associated major rotating and auxiliary equipment.
- Develop a thorough understanding of LTSA commercial structures, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance scopes, parts and consumables supply, remote monitoring and diagnostics, technical advisory services, and associated pricing and escalation mechanisms.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or commercial management experience, with demonstrated focus on operational or asset‑phase procurement activities.
- Owner‑side experience negotiating Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with OEM suppliers for power generation equipment — this is a critical requirement.
- Working knowledge of performance guarantee and availability provisions within LTSAs, including guaranteed availability factors, heat rate guarantees, LD structures, and cure provisions.
- Experience drafting and negotiating Consulting Service Agreements, Technical Service Agreements, Task Orders, and NDAs.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
- Prior experience in the utility power, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or related sectors preferred.
