Process Quality Engineer

Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for providing repair and/or engineering process support in accordance with documented procedures and practices. The incumbent will develop, implement, improve, and reinforce established Quality Assurance practices used in the local business.

• Ensure 100 percent quality and regulatory compliance per documented procedures for all functional responsibilities.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve process effectiveness and efficiency at the site.
• Create process improvement plans using tools such as Six Sigma, LEAN Manufacturing, 5S, SPC, 8D, engineering studies, Gauge R&R, etc.
• Develop and implement process verification and validation plans, including Master Router Plans and Validation Router Plans, and produce detailed process flow diagrams describing critical dependencies, risks, and impacts.
• Support continuous product and process improvement through failure analysis, investigations, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA Program).
• Create risk management tools (PFMEA, DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode Analysis) and support design mitigation, including process mitigation plans to reduce identified risks.
• Develop comprehensive procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, forms, templates, checklists, worksheets, and other documentation to ensure process compliance.
• Perform various tasks supporting product and process design as assigned by the departmental manager.
• Provide process support aligned with global and local QMS procedures and practices, developing the site CAPA strategy to meet compliance requirements.

• Engineering bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality.
• 1–3 years of additional experience in QA engineering.

• Experience in Aerospace or Aviation industry, or in design or manufacturing engineering within Aerospace, Aviation, or Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and site‑level product processes.
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels, including repair services controls, verification and validation, production & process controls, CAPA, complaints, risk management, and quality improvement using six sigma, DFR, etc.
• Collaboration and conflict resolution abilities.
• Leadership experience, especially in crisis situations to ensure compliance.
• Understanding of product development life cycles, design change, document change control, verification & validation, manufacturing/production process control, and medical device servicing.
• Proficiency with continuous improvement tools (DMIAC, SPC, Lean SS, 5S, 8D).
• Experience leading and implementing change, conducting internal and external audits, and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.
• Technical aptitude and global regulatory experience, with proven regulator interface skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience managing project teams.

• Base pay: $82,000 – $136,700 USD annually.
• 10 % performance bonus, variable incentive compensation, or equity.
• Geographic differential of 110 %, 120 % or 130 % of salary in certain areas.
