We are seeking an entry‑level Geotechnical Engineer for our Houston, TX office. The role involves supporting geotechnical projects throughout all phases of exploration, design, and construction and works closely with a strong team of professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide engineering support on geotechnical projects during the exploration, design, and construction phases.
- Plan, perform, and oversee subsurface investigation and testing programs.
- Prepare and/or review field test logs and geological/engineering reports.
- Interpret survey data, calculate quantities, and create supportive drawings and graphics.
- Develop geotechnical reports and specifications.
- Perform geological and geotechnical engineering analysis.
- Perform and oversee construction observation of specialty geotechnical works and foundation construction.
- Must be willing to travel; some overnight and out‑of‑town travel is expected.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- 0–4 years of relevant geotechnical work experience.
- EIT certification.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Bentley.
- Familiarity with APILE, LPILE, GRLWEAP, Geo Studio, and AASHTOWare Pavement M‑E software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Bentley Open Ground.
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment screening.
The compensation range for this position is between $58,000 to $95,000 per year. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
