We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Well Services to provide expert-level technical support, operational guidance, and decision support across global Well Services operations and technologies. Based in Houston, this role serves as a key technical resource supporting field execution, operational readiness, troubleshooting, and continuous performance improvement across a high-performance oil & gas services environment.

About the Role

As Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Well Services, you will serve as a key technical resource supporting operations, engineering, and management through technical troubleshooting, operational readiness, and performance optimization.

You will work independently and collaboratively to:

• Provide expert technical support for complex operations and challenges
• Support planning, execution, and post-job performance analysis
• Drive standardization, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
• Strengthen operational readiness and execution quality across supported activities

This role is pivotal in reducing execution risk, improving technical consistency, supporting field success, and ensuring lessons learned are translated into operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key technical resource supporting well services tools, workflows, operational processes, and field execution
• Provide rapid-response technical support to field operations, engineering teams, and management
• Lead technical troubleshooting, feasibility assessments, operational risk reviews, and root-cause analysis for complex challenges
• Review, optimize, and standardize procedures, job programs, contingency plans, and operational workflows
• Support planning, execution, and post-job analysis for Well Services-related activities
• Participate in operational readiness reviews, PRAs, DWOPs, CWOPs, and customer technical sessions
• Support data quality, reporting accuracy, and digital workflow consistency across operational systems
• Maintain knowledge bases, lessons learned, and standardized technical processes
• Support onboarding, training material development, and technical knowledge transfer
• Prepare and review Job Completion Reports, technical summaries, and After-Action Reviews
• Interface closely with Operations, Engineering, Technology, and Sales to support successful project execution
• Participate in customer meetings, providing technical expertise and operational insight to align expectations and demonstrate value

What We're Looking For

Education

• Degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline (relevant field experience considered)

Experience

• 5+ years of oilfield experience in operations, engineering, technical support, performance, or related roles
• Strong practical understanding of downhole tools, intervention systems, completion tools, wireline, fishing, plugs, or related well services operations
• Experience supporting field operations, job execution, troubleshooting, or operational readiness activities
• Experience working with operational reporting systems, digital workflows, technical reporting, or performance tracking platforms is an advantage
• Offshore, rig-site, workshop, or customer-facing technical experience highly valued
• Experience with intervention systems, performance engineering, or data analytics is beneficial
