OverviewWe are seeking an Energy Modeler to join our team. The Energy Modeler will create detailed design drawings using CAD software and perform energy modeling analysis for residential structures using whole building analysis programs such as Ekotrope, and Energy Pro. The Energy Modeler will work closely with other members of the design team to produce accurate, high-quality designs that meet the needs of the project.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Sketchup).
- Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
- Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Above average mathematical skills.
- Create detailed design drawings using CAD software.
- Evaluate existing designs and develop new and improved designs.
- Ensure design drawings meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain documentation of designs.
- Obtain HERS Rater Certification.
Reports to:
Energy Modeling Manager
- Experience in CAD design.
- Basic Microsoft Excel.
- HERS Rater or Modeler Certification a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to read and understand a set of residential architectural plans.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
