Role

Summary

Play an integral role in shaping how complex engineering and construction projects are planned, sequenced, and delivered. You will be at the center of project execution strategy—developing and managing integrated schedules that drive performance, reduce risk, and enable teams to deliver safely, predictably, and efficiently. This role positions you as both a technical specialist and a trusted advisor to project leadership, influencing outcomes through data, insight, and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Developing detailed engineering and construction schedules for major project proposals and active projects, ensuring logic, sequencing, and resource alignment are fit for purpose.
  • Maintaining schedules on an ongoing basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with project progress and changing conditions.
  • Ensuring compatibility and integration of supporting schedules across disciplines, enabling a unified and coordinated execution strategy.
  • Collaborating closely with project management, engineering, construction, and project controls teams to improve planning accuracy and execution performance.
  • Conducting schedule analysis to identify critical path, risks, constraints, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Preparing and presenting schedule reports, progress updates, and forecasts to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Supporting performance improvement initiatives by providing insights into schedule variance, productivity trends, and execution risk.
  • Leading or guiding junior planners and schedulers, assigning work, reviewing outputs, and providing technical mentorship.
  • Participating in cross‑functional coordination to ensure planning activities support broader project and business objectives.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of planning systems, processes, and tools.
Qualifications
  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, including roles supporting large or complex construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing schedules for power generation projects, including simple‑cycle and combined cycle environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies, including critical path method, resource loading, and progress measurement.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support project decision‑making.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM project environments, collaborating across engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
  • Ability to lead planning efforts, guide teams, and influence stakeholders through technical expertise and clear communication.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scheduling information to senior stakeholders.
  • A detail‑oriented and structured approach to work, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and delivery.
  • Solid understanding of planning systems, tools, and processes, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement.
Benefits

Pay‑time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the US), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as a 401K plan.
