* What you will do:
**
* ** Perform
* * quantitative assessment of risks associated with gas transmission and gas storage assets following standard and non-standard processes.
* ** Support
* * the management of collaborators’ requests including problem definition, data collection, application of standard and non-standard assessment techniques, and communication of results.
* ** Collaborate
* * with senior team members on continuous improvements of assessment tools and develop new techniques through: + Researching relevant literature + Performing feasibility studies and system-wide analysis + Building business cases for improvement ideas + Performing automation and improvement of existing models
* ** Communicate
* * effectively highly technical results and analysis methodologies used in standard and non-standard assessments, results, limitations, etc. to department leadership and team members through presentations and written communications.
* ** Drive
* * PI-Core Process implementation and other critical risk decisions.
* ** Develop
* * and maintain processes, procedures, and work instructions under supervision of Senior Engineers and Specialists.
* ** Support
* * consequence and risk assessment models (or other complex tasks) through providing technical judgement, reliability knowledge, and other areas of technical expertise.
* ** Contribute
* * to industry publications and technical reports to support industry advancement.
** Who you are****:
** You have:
* A minimum of 2 years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas in addition to a bachelor’s degree in engineering: + Risk Management related to Oil & Gas transmission pipelines + Pipeline threat management and Pipeline integrity related projects & programs + Research-related projects requiring review of industry literature, interpretation of a variety data types, and generation of conclusions and recommendations based on findings.
You can:
* Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and planning skills in addition to critical thinking abilities related to both technical problems and project management
* Show proficiency with programming in Python and/or SQL. Consideration will be given for experience in other languages and tools such as C, C++, R, MATLAB, MS Access You are:
* An excellent communicator with partners, peers and external collaborators in both formal and informal settings while being a strong technical writer
* Proficient with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and can manage tight time constraints with limited information in some instances
The following are considered assets:
* Experience with pipeline integrity reliability & risk
* Advanced degree in Engineering (Masters of PhD)
* Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 192, ASME B31.8S, CSA Z662, OSHA , Z767, API 1173, ISO 3100 and other industry regulations and standards.
