Agha Engineering, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Transportation or Civil Services/Land Development team in our growing Houston headquarters. Our office location is inside of the Energy Corridor, (1080 Eldridge Pkwy Suite 1100, Houston, TX 77077).

This position is for Engineers with at least 4 years of experience in the civil engineering space. Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including roadway and highway design, horizontal and vertical alignments and geometric design, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, traffic control and associated civil engineering activities.
- Perform quantity calculations
- Conduct permitting with Jurisdictional Authorities
- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
- Function as Project Manager Assistant or Project Engineer as needed
- Review work of other professionals and technicians as needed
- Serve as a technical expert in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
- Plan and develop projects or design activities with significant impact on major company programs as needed
- Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work for proposals
- Engage with clients to build relationships and be involved project related production meetings
- Perform other duties as needed
- TxDOT, HCTRA, or County CIP project experience preferred
- Strong operating knowledge of Microstation / Open Roads Designer (ORD)
- Knowledge of the RDM Roadway Design Manual and AASHTO
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed as a professional engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or ability to acquire within 12 months of employment.
