Work ScheduleM – F 8‑5, Sat 8‑12 Noon
Citizenship Requirements- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. No H1B/H4/F1/F3/OPT/EAD statuses.
The Industrial Designer role coordinates all technical activities on assigned projects, planning, scheduling, conducting, and supervising engineering work. The position monitors compliance with applicable codes, engineering practices, and PTP standards, ensuring effective communication and coordination among disciplines and other project participants.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating technical and management aspects of projects.
- Submitting manufacturing instructions to shop.
- Ensuring technical design accuracy, including design details in areas not qualified.
- Present sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details; recognize when technical problems develop in various disciplines.
- Initiate appropriate corrective actions to resolve client, engineering, or project‑management issues.
- Contribute to large projects and coordinate day‑to‑day interactions with client representatives and internal activities.
- Coordinate activities with purchasing, accounting, manufacturing, sales, and quality control.
- Accountable for successful completion of engineering projects.
- Project engineering schedules and forecasts.
- Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
- Weekly status updates and reports.
- Extensive contact with assigned project clients.
- Complete contract review of awarded purchase orders to ensure compliance with quoted terms and conditions.
- Communications, coordination, and dispute resolution with clients.
- Coordinate with shop productions to establish delivery schedules for all products on the purchase order.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Participate in client and contract meetings.
- Experience:
2+ years in engineering roles related to industrial equipment, piping and pipe supports, or similar products preferred. - Technical acumen:
Understanding of piping and pipe supports, industrial applications, and high-level engineering principles. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage clients and internal teams effectively. - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; preferably a Master’s degree in Engineering.
