Job DescriptionThe Construction Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction engineering activities in support of project goals. This role leads construction engineering teams, ensures alignment with project specifications, and supports field execution through technical guidance, constructability input, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead construction engineering activities for assigned projects or phases
- Coordinate with project management, design engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Support constructability reviews, work packaging, and execution planning
- Provide oversight for field engineering, including RFIs, field changes, and design clarifications
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company procedures
- Assist in development of construction work packages and execution sequencing
- Monitor performance, quality, and productivity of construction engineering deliverables
- Identify risks and support mitigation strategies related to field execution
- Provide leadership and direction to construction engineering staff
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Accredited four‑year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field required
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of work‑related experience in construction or EPC project environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting large‑scale industrial projects
- Strong understanding of construction execution, field engineering, and project coordination
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross‑functional coordination
Job Requirements
- Experience on large capital projects in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, LNG, or Infrastructure
- Prior experience in a Construction Engineering or Field Engineering leadership role
- Familiarity with Fluor systems, procedures, and execution practices
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to travel or relocate based on project needs
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
