We make digital lock and smart access products deployed across commercial offices, healthcare and educational facilities, critical infrastructure, and more — in markets across the globe. As our Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll walk into a customer’s facility, understand their access control architecture, and design a solution that fits their hardware, software, and security requirements. You’ll collaborate with customers’ technical teams, recommend custom configurations, and help build the enablement muscle that lets our broader team grow with confidence.

FOCUS AREAS Access control IoT

BLE, RFID, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and cloud credential platforms

Custom hardware configurations

Recommend SKUs, firmware options, and OEM digital lock hardware tailored to each deployment. Solve legacy credential, retrofit, and third‑party system integration challenges.

Global account management

Lead multi‑property, multinational rollouts across NA, EMEA, and APAC. Build the playbooks, training materials, and ROI tools that help the team scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS What you’ll do
  • Lead technical discovery at customer sites to assess existing access control infrastructure
  • Recommend digital lock SKUs, reader configurations, and credential management platforms
  • Design integration architecture between our products and third‑party systems (PMS, VMS, BMS, MDM)
  • Build and demo working POCs on customer sites or in our virtual lab environment
  • Guide customers through retrofit vs. new‑build decisions with clear technical tradeoffs
  • Lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires
  • Partner with product and engineering on custom firmware, credential formats, or OEM lock variants
  • Develop vertical‑specific sales playbooks and ROI calculators
  • Train and coach sales employees on access control architecture, cybersecurity objections, and compliance
  • Represent the company at trade shows
What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years in technical sales or solutions engineering with IoT, physical security, or access control products
  • Hands‑on knowledge of access control protocols: OSDP, Wiegand, BLE, RFID, and Wi‑Fi
  • Experience recommending or configuring digital lock hardware and credential management platforms
  • Familiarity with mobile credential SDK integrations
  • Understanding of physical security standards: UL 294, EN 15684, ANSI/BHMA grades
  • Track record with enterprise or multi‑site global customers
  • Ability to speak credibly with both security directors and IT/network teams
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials — not just delivering them
  • Comfortable with 40‑60% travel, including international customer sites
  • Degree in electrical engineering, security systems, CS, or equivalent field experience

  • Prior experience at a digital lock, access control, or smart building technology company
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks relevant to physical access: SOC 2, ISO 27001
  • Background at a growth‑stage company where you helped build the sales motion from scratch
