Position SummaryWe are seeking a Packaging Engineer Project Manager to support manufacturing facilities across the region in the preparation and execution of capital projects. This role is responsible for driving project excellence through the application of standardized project management processes, strong stakeholder collaboration, and a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
The successful candidate will manage capital projects, support local engineering teams, promote engineering standards, and contribute to the development of engineering capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Capital Project Management- Lead the preparation and execution of capital projects across the region.
- Ensure clear project scope definition, deliverables, and end-user engagement through the development of User Requirement Specifications (URS).
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites to capture technical requirements and project needs.
- Identify and leverage engineering resources and standards to implement effective project solutions.
- Develop and define technical solutions, project scope, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Translate project requirements and Basis of Design (BoD) into Basic Engineering Packages (BEP).
- Manage internal and/or external engineering resources as required.
- Support supplier selection activities and collaborate with Procurement on contracting strategies.
- Monitor project performance and communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives throughout project execution.
- Develop Basis of Design (BoD) and project Approval Requests (AR) where applicable.
- Provide guidance and support to local engineering teams during project development and execution.
- Participate in project reviews and evaluations, offering technical expertise and recommendations.
- Promote the implementation of engineering standards and best practices across projects.
- Connect manufacturing sites with appropriate engineering resources and subject matter experts.
- 5+ years of experience in Operations, Maintenance, and Capital Project/Portfolio Management.
- Experience leading multiple major CAPEX projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience managing suppliers and external partners.
- Strong technical and engineering understanding.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical specialists and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region as required.
