Auxiliary Systems Engineer
Houston, TX or Sedalia, MO | Relocation Available
We are seeking a Gas Turbine Auxiliary Systems Engineer to support the design, analysis, and development of auxiliary systems for gas turbine power generation equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys working across engineering, manufacturing, production, and field service teams while supporting innovative power generation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop gas turbine auxiliary systems including fuel gas, lube oil, hydraulic, cooling, ventilation, fire protection, and instrumentation systems
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including P&IDs, BOMs, technical specifications, calculations, and assembly instructions
- Perform component sizing, pressure drop calculations, valve sizing, and system performance analysis
- Support manufacturing and production teams through design reviews, redlines, troubleshooting, and engineering guidance
- Assist with root cause analysis, non‑conformance investigations, and corrective actions
- Partner with procurement and suppliers to support component selection and technical evaluations
- Support project execution, installation, commissioning, and field service activities as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience within power generation, industrial equipment, rotating equipment, or gas turbine environments
- Experience designing auxiliary systems such as fuel gas, lubrication, hydraulic, ventilation, cooling, or instrumentation systems
- Strong experience with P&t, component sizing, and engineering calculations
- Knowledge of valves, pumps, filtration systems, instrumentation, and fluid systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with LM2500 and/or LM6000 gas turbines
- OEM turbine experience (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- FEA or stress analysis experience
- PE license
- Familiarity with CSA, CE, and international engineering standards
- Experience with Inventor, Windchill, Solid Works PDM, ANSYS, Bluebeam, or similar engineering tools
- Houston, TX or Sedalia, MO
- Relocation assistance available
- Hybrid flexibility may be considered for the right candidate
- Up to 20% annual bonus potential
- Less than 10% travel
- Two‑week training period required in Sedalia, MO
