America Strategic Integrated Energy Solutions Architect

Shape the future of clean energy in America

Are you passionate about designing innovative energy solutions and driving energy transition?

Join Baker Hughes’ Clean Power Solutions (CPS) team and play a key role in bringing integrated, low carbon energy technologies to market.

Partnering with the Best

As an America Strategic Integrated Energy Solutions Architect, you will be partnering with the best across Baker Hughes and the broader energy ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Proposal Management, and external partners to shape integrated energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of utilities, IPPs, hyperscalers, data center developers, and large‑scale energy users. You will help drive alignment across technical, commercial, and strategic teams to deliver solutions that are competitive, reliable, and future‑ready.

Fueling

Your Passion

This role fuels your passion for accelerating the energy transition by enabling you to architect innovative, low‑carbon, and integrated energy systems. You will be at the forefront of designing geothermal, CHP, heat pump, synchronous condenser, long‑duration storage, and hybrid power solutions tailored to the growing demands of the American market — including high‑load applications such as data centers. Your work will directly influence project feasibility, customer value creation, and Baker Hughes’ strategic growth in clean energy.

Responsibilities
  • Partnering with Sales and cross‑functional teams to originate, shape, and win integrated energy projects across America, including data‑center‑related integrated power solutions.
  • Delivering customer‑centric solutions in geothermal, synchronous condensers, heat pumps, Combined Heat and Power, Long‑Duration Energy Storage, and integrated energy systems, including applications for data center power and infrastructure needs.
  • Driving early engagement with existing and new customers—including data center developers, hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and IPPs—to create demand, build strong value propositions, and increase market penetration.
  • Understanding and translating customer requirements such as power availability, redundancy, scalability, grid interaction, and electrical reliability into competitive integrated solutions.
  • Defining the technical architecture of integrated systems, including the electrical balance of plant, to optimize project LCOE/LCOH/LCOS and overall system performance.
  • Building, managing, and prioritizing a strong opportunity pipeline while supporting the definition of required Product and Commercial Strategies.
  • Collaborating with Product Management, Proposal Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and external partners to deliver effective, customer‑aligned solutions.
  • Acting as a thought leader and ambassador for Baker Hughes at customer meetings, events, and industry forums.
Success Criteria
  • Have hands‑on experience in integrated energy solutions, power generation systems, geothermal (ORC/STG), heat pumps, combined heat and power, or long‑duration energy storage.
  • Have a strong technical background in process design, turbo machinery (GTs, STGs, compressors, turboexpanders), electrical distribution equipment, heat‑exchanger selection, and system integration.
  • Have working knowledge of utilities, IPPs, and electricity markets, with exposure to product proposal management and/or project development, including projects serving high‑load customers such as data centers.
  • Have the ability to assess project economics (CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE/LCOH/LCOS) and support commercial decision‑making.
  • Have strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to originating demand and building customer relationships.
  • Have confidence working in complex, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders, and be comfortable operating with ambiguity.
  • Have excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Have the ability to act as a self‑starter and leader, capable of managing complexity, prioritizing effectively, and driving results.
