Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Participate in all project phases, from concept development and tendering to FEED, construction, and procurement of mooring equipment.
  • Lead or support the design of mooring systems for FPSO/FSU/FSO units (dependent on candidate).
  • Oversee and follow up on mooring and riser engineering services, including EPC contractor deliverables.
  • Perform structural modelling in hydrodynamics software (e.g., WADAM, Orcaflex, Ariane), working closely with Naval Architecture.
  • Perform system calculations and develop operation philosophies and design manuals.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Estimation, and Planning teams.
  • Review and approve deliverables from suppliers, as well as support technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Support operations, technical maintenance teams, and offshore units as required.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in marine or hydrodynamics engineering.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with hydrodynamics and mooring analysis software such as WADAM, Orcaflex, Ariane, SIMO/Riflex, or similar tools.
  • Interest in Python coding; experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Fluent communication in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Aspiration to develop as an expert or lead engineer within mooring and hydrodynamics.
