Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Senior Project Planner / Master Scheduler (Nuclear). This is an 8-month long-term contract assignment with our client, who is at the forefront of advanced nuclear innovation, designing remote, robotic, and automated systems that directly support Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology.
Target W2 compensation: $100/hour (commensurate with experience)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite).
Must-haves- Primavera P6 Expertise Required
- This role requires advanced, hands-on Primavera P6 expertise.
- Candidates must have extensive experience building, owning, and driving integrated EPC schedules— not simply updating schedules created by others.
- We are seeking a Senior Project Planner / Master Scheduler to serve as a key operational planning leader supporting a portfolio of complex energy and infrastructure programs.
- Experience supporting nuclear projects is a major advantage
. - This individual will own schedule integration, resource planning visibility, and workforce forecasting across both active execution projects and legacy programs.
- The role is best suited for a senior planning professional who understands how engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations must align to deliver major capital projects successfully.
- You will work directly with project leadership, functional managers, engineers, and field teams to gather schedule inputs, drive accountability, and ensure planning activities remain accurate, executable, and forward‑looking.

- Scheduling & Project Controls Leadership
- Serve as Primavera P6 Subject Matter Expert and Master Scheduler.
- Develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Drive schedule updates and ensure timely, accurate input from project teams.
- Lead schedule recovery planning when projects deviate from execution targets.
- Align schedules with organizational resource availability.
- Advanced Primavera P6 expertise (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 15+ years Senior Project Controls, Master Scheduling, or Resource Planning experience (more experience the better)
- Demonstrated experience supporting EPC, Nuclear, or major capital projects
- Experience serving as:
- Senior Project Planner
- Master Scheduler
- Project Controls Specialist
- Resource Manager
- Proven ability to independently own and drive planning activities
- Experience working within large project organizations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
