Role
Substation Engineer – Physical Design
Responsibilities- Develop physical engineering and layout designs for outdoor Air-Insulated Substations (AIS) and indoor Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS)
- Work on substations ranging from 33kV up to 400kV / 765kV
- Optimize placement of primary equipment including:
- Power Transformers
- Circuit Breakers
- Disconnectors
- Instrument Transformers (CTs/VTs)
- Surge Arresters
- Busbar Systems
- Perform rigid and flexible busbar calculations
- Conduct short-circuit force, deflection, and thermal expansion analysis
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and substation layouts
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for project execution
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and customer requirements
