BGE is seeking a Planner to join our Planning + Landscape Architecture Studio in Houston. Our team consists of smart, fun and talented individuals who work together in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities- Assist with the development of conceptual plans, master plans, and lotting studies
- Conduct project research and reviews local development codes and regulations
- Prepare base maps and project graphics to support the planning process
- Conduct land use and site analysis
- Prepare general plans and subdivision plats
- Prepare, collect and coordinate project documents
- Prepare subdivision and zoning applications
- Coordinate with local governmental agencies
- Coordinate with civil engineers and other consultants
- Assist with special planning projects as directed by leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field
- 1-5 years of demonstrated work experience
- Solid understanding of planning principles, practices & techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, & Adobe Suite software
- Creative problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet firm deadlines
