Sabine Pass, Texas: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Static Equipment Integrity Engineer
.

Essential Duties:
  • Act as technical authority and final reviewer for static equipment integrity and engineering decisions.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve engineering standards, best practices, and templates for static equipment systems.
  • Lead technical reviews of static equipment including pressure vessels, piping systems, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables including specifications, datasheets, drawings, and material selection.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (ASME, API, ISO, and others).
  • Oversee vendor documentation, fabrication activities, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Support Asset Integrity Management (AIM) programs, governance frameworks, and lifecycle strategies.
  • Review inspection findings, corrosion assessments, and damage mechanism evaluations.
  • Lead and support Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and integrity risk assessment activities.
  • Perform and lead Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations (Level 1 & Level 2; working knowledge of Level
    3).
  • Develop and approve recommendations for repair, alteration, replacement, or continued operation of static equipment.
  • Define inspection strategies, maintenance plans, and long‑term integrity management programs.
  • Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, repair, and modification activities.
  • Interface with operations, maintenance, inspection, corrosion, engineering, HSE, and project teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and decision support to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization during audits, regulatory inspections, and technical reviews.
  • Review and approve technical reports, calculations, and engineering recommendations.
Requirements/

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical integrity engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining industries.
  • Strong expertise in static equipment systems including pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
  • Advanced knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, material selection, NDE methods, and welding procedures.
  • Experience with Fitness-for-Service (API 579), RBI (API 580/581), and inspection codes.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards including API 510, API 570, ASME B31.3, ASME BPVC, and related codes.
  • Experience supporting Asset Integrity or Fixed Equipment Management programs.
  • API 510, API 570, and/or API 580 certifications preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel and work in dynamic operational environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an industrial/plant environment.
  • May require field walkdowns in outdoor and process facility conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE as needed.
  • Occasional travel to site locations, vendor shops, or fabrication facilities may be required.
