Houston, Texas

$90K–$130K Base + Performance Bonus

We are seeking a licensed Texas PE with strong experience in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) and stormwater infrastructure who is ready to lead complex water resources projects and help grow a regional practice in Houston.

This is not a traditional Project Engineer role. This is an opportunity for a technically strong leader and client-facing professional who wants autonomy, visibility, and the ability to influence project delivery and business growth.

If you have successfully delivered stormwater, drainage, or flood control projects and are looking to expand your impact beyond technical execution, this role provides the platform to do so.

Duties
  • Development and delivery of hydrologic and hydraulic models for stormwater and flood control projects
  • Design and evaluation of drainage systems, detention facilities, and flood conveyance infrastructure
  • Leadership of projects from initiation through completion, including schedule and budget management
  • Client relationships across public and private sector entities
  • Proposal development, technical reporting, and project documentation
  • Mentorship and oversight of junior engineering staff
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across multiple office locations
  • Advanced 1D/2D watershed analysis for master planning and flood mitigation
  • Identification and pursuit of new business opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • 6+ years of experience in water resources, drainage design, and H&H modeling
  • Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and ArcGIS/Arc Map
  • Experience with stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and permitting
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (Open Roads a plus)
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and deliver quality work
  • Familiarity with local regulations and land development processes
Why Consider This Role
  • Opportunity to lead high-impact water resources and flood control projects
  • Visibility with leadership and opportunity for career advancement
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and professional development support
