Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer for a top energy company in Houston, TX. As part of a collaborative team of fifteen, this individual will leverage Solid Works to design 3D structural skid‑based models that integrate a variety of mechanical, static, and electrical equipment. Daily responsibilities include producing and reviewing a wide range of technical drawings, such as piping layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, schedules, tie‑point/interface diagrams, insulation details, and structural general arrangement drawings.
Additional tasks involve preparing weld and connection details, foundation and equipment support drawings, weight/center of gravity reports, manual valve lists, HVAC ducting layouts, instrumentation diagrams, process and instrument flow diagrams, pump alignment drawings, and OSHA‑compliant handrail, ladder, walkway, and platform details.

- 5-10 YOE as a piping designer
- Proficiency in Solid Works OR CADWorx; plus if both (if only cadworx, must have interest or drive to learn Solid Works Prior data center experience
- Prior experience in the Petrochemical or Downstream Oil & Gas industry
- Navisworks software proficiency
