Job Summary
In this role, you will participate in the design and preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, graphic presentations and Plant Design and Piping (PD&P) drawings. You will originate basic deliverables and documents and verify compliance of pipe configurations and manufacturers’ drawings. Your efforts will contribute to ensuring PD&P design meets industry best practices and compliance standards.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.
Major Responsibilities- The RDB Administrator is a 3D/SRD Integration Specialist position. The candidate shall have the ability to create and check Smart Reference Data (SRD) geometrics in accordance with industry design codes and project requirements.
- Extract SRD piping data for 3D modelling and generate required validation reports.
- Configure validation requirements for SRD to 3D modeling systems (S3D, E3D) adopting a practical approach to piping material problems and be familiar with the requirements of 3D modelling.
- Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for a global business unit usually in one discipline in a project or staff group.
- Support the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- Issue and maintain piping and valve material specifications utilizing Smart Plant Reference Data.
- Develop component commodity codes for company and project specific databases based on industry standards, manufacturer specific construction and corporate coding structure.
- Develop technical, design and purchasing specifications for all bulk piping components.

B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering preferred, with 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in S3D and RDB.
- Knowledge in material requirements for Acoustic Induced Vibration mitigation is a plus.
- Detailed knowledge of Piping Material Specification software (Smart Plant Reference Data SPRD, etc.).
- Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.
- Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline. Specific knowledge of B31.3 design and materials is essential.
