Medical Device Industry, Field/Service Technician
Our Field Service Engineers experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for installing, updating, completing preventative maintenance and other services as needed for Medical and Industrial Microscopy and Life Science Research in hospitals across the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Our client develops leading-edge microscopes and scientific instruments to power technological advances and touch lives in meaningful ways across its Life Sciences, Industry and Medical divisions.
Job Requirements (Field Service Engineer – FSE)Associate degree, or equivalent military training programs, or equivalent biomedical or technical field service experience
Technical training programs preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an FSE
Medical device or military experience required
Ability to effectively document activity in a timely manner
Ability to travel Regionally or Nationally as needed
US Passport is also required for potential overseas in person training later in 2026.
Ability for potential International Travel if needed for training (Passport Required)
Strong customer facing, brand representative skills
Coachable, team player
Self‑motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team
Have the ability and has completed all required client trainings for the required platforms
An active and unrestricted driver’s license, and a personal vehicle for local work‑related assignments are both required
Must be within 45 minutes - 1 hour of INTERNATIONAL or MAJOR AIRPORT. Candidates within thirty (30) miles of major airport preferred. Weekly travel required.
Installation of new systems
Preventative maintenance
Basic Repairs
Demo Installation/Deinstallation (Packing)
Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field‑based technician roles
Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
Strong computer skills and comfort with troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and One Note, etc.
Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on‑site be fully vaccinated including Covid‑19.
The potential base pay range for this role is $35.00 - $38.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
