Responsibilities
- Project Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the MCC Building design of the FPU project. - Single point of contact for any MCC Building related interfacing issue.
- Coordinate between engineering sub-contractors, MCC Building module EPC contractor and project stakeholders to freeze MCC Building design, support construction, integration, and commissioning activities until project delivery.
- Review and approve design specification for MCC Building, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with project stakeholders to address any design issue or modification.
- Responsible for procurement engineering of the MCC Building; consolidate all package reference documents issued by various parties into MCC Building RFQ, perform technical bid evaluation, participate in bid clarification meeting with MCC Building vendor, review MCC building vendor document, and attend MCC building FAT.
- Oversee the engineering design, construction and assembly of MCC Building, coordinating equipment need date within MCC building to ensure adherence to project timelines, specification requirements, budget constraints, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meeting to monitor work and resolve any issue.
- Plan and arrange technical clarification meeting regarding MCC building design as required.
- Work closely with multi-discipline leads such as electrical lead, I&C lead, HVAC lead, package lead, architectural lead for respective discipline equipment dimension/sizing to freeze MCC Building design.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the MCC Building systems are built to specification. Conduct design review, technical clarification meeting, and validation of MCC Building system design such as HVAC, lighting, PAGA, etc.
- Coordinate between MCC Building contractor and topside engineering sub-contractor to maintain accurate and comprehensive reference documents related to MCC Building design.
- Coordinate between MCC Building contractor and topside engineering sub-contractor to for any interfacing issue such as cable interface, cable tray interface and penetration opening locations, etc.
- Prepare and present reports on project status, issues, and achievements.
- Identify and resolve any technical, or project management issues that arise during the MCC Building design, construction and commissioning phases. Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Education:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is mandatory. Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or any advanced certifications (e.g. PMP) or degrees are a plus. - Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering coordination, with a focus on electrical design and MCC Building, preferably in FPU or offshore projects. Familiar with USCG requirements. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of MCC Building design, construction, and commissioning. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Other:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
