CQA Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily oversight, inspections, soil testing and reports for construction being performed at landfill sites.
• Oversight and inspection engineering management of landfill gas and landfill construction (new cells, liner installation and closures) to ensure compliance with design plans.
• Construction quality assurance (CQA) for compliance with drawings and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with General Contractors and Subcontractors for daily plan and scope of work being performed.
• Responsible for submitting a daily written and photo log reports.
• Marking up construction drawing/as-builts as needed.
• Provide daily and weekly updates to Engineering staff and CQA project management.

• Soil testing
• Minimum 2 years of experience on landfill construction projects.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to read maps and construction plans.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics and soils is a plus.
• Physical ability to drive (pick‑up truck), lift and carry equipment/mechanical components, and walk on uneven terrain while providing services under various weather conditions.

Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
