We are seeking experienced Structural Design support to join our team. The Structural Estimator is responsible for material takeoffs, cost analysis, preparation, and presentation of discipline estimates to leadership and stakeholders for large and complex projects. The position also involves the maintenance of historical databases while assisting in the development of department procedures. The targeted markets include but are not limited to Nuclear, DOE, and DOD contracts.

The position is located in Lenexa, KS. Other locations may be considered.

• Develop high quality CAD designs and drawings for estimates and projects based on engineering information as well as experience
• Coordinate with other estimating and design group team members to review and exchange project information necessary for design and development
• Check design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking
• Report task progress to Estimate or Project Lead
• Gather required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures
• Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details
• Aid in the development of department standards and tools
• Mentor other team members in design and modeling techniques
• Resolve design issues effectively with input from responsible engineer
• Rely on experience to develop preliminary concrete and steel models for estimating purposes
