In this role, you will participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil components and processes. You will assist with preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, models, calculations, material requisitions, studies, reports, presentations, and proposals. Your assistance will contribute to civil designs that meet project requirements.
"This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership."
Major Responsibilities- Participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil engineering components and processes using relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs), Design Control Checklist (DCCL), and Design Review Notices (DRNs).
- Plan civil layout, prepare detailed design and layout drawings for sitework, drainage, roadways, railroads, etc., and ensure designs are compliant with local and national regulations before and during construction.
- Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
- Prepare civil designs and construction drawings using 2‑D/3‑D computer‑aided design (CAD), presentation graphics, and civil models and codes.
- Prepare procurement and subcontract requisition documents and perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.
- Provide technical assistance to other civil engineering personnel and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues, industry codes, and standards.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2‑5 years of relevant experience or 6‑9 years of relevant work experience.
