- Perform intermediate calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Perform static and dynamic analyses utilizing software tools with supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Actively participate in designing buildings, building foundations, equipment platforms, pipe racks, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures.
- Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and endorsed industry codes and standards for all deliverables.
- Follow and ensure compliance with Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Quality Assurance.
- Support preparation of estimates, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction support activities.
- Support preparation of project design criteria, design calculations, and technical specification documents.
- Support structural department tools and workflows initiatives.
- Interface with designers and review drawings prior to sealing them.
- Comply with engineering and project change management requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s is an asset).
- EIT status (Passed PE exam is an asset).
- 1-4 years of structural engineering design experience.
- Familiarity with North American design codes.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- SAP
2000, STAAD Pro, general steel and concrete analysis and design. - Willingness and ability to travel as needed (
