We are looking for a passionate engineer to join our team to advance human space exploration and study the origins of the universe.

Responsibilities
  • Advising, guiding, and providing consultation on Materials & Processes (M&P) requirements for intravehicular (IVA) and extravehicular (EVA) environments.
  • Review and develop hardware, analysis, operation, hazard reviews, anomaly resolution, requirements verification, re‑flight assessments, and flight acceptance testing.
  • Formulate presentations and present to program boards.
  • Implement M&P system requirements into hardware design and develop verification and validation plans.
  • Provide input to program/project specifications and ensure appropriate materials requirements are incorporated.
  • Review project/program documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure M&P requirements are met.
  • Assess vendor processes and define changes; provide qualification and acceptance testing recommendations.
  • Provide inspection and manufacturing process support for human space flight system.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Systems) with 7+ years of related experience in Materials and Processes.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes for space applications, including selection, corrosion prevention, electrical bonding, failure analysis, heat treatment, adhesive bonding, contamination control.
  • Familiarity with metallic and nonmetallic material specifications, properties, and testing.
  • Experience in engineering drawing review for M&P.
  • Background in M&P for propulsion, crew compartments, environmental life support, thermal and electronic systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to assess priorities, identify technical risks, and work collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred
  • MS or PhD in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of related experience for spacecraft.
  • Experience in material selection for electrical components, corrosion prevention, flammability, oxygen compatibility, contamination control, qualification, testing for NASA or aerospace projects.
  • Experience directing or coordinating a technical team.
  • Experience with human space flight system engineering and integration.
