Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is located in Downtown Houston and looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their team on a 6+ month contract basis. The main function of an Engineer is to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet project and operational requirements for Utility/Construction based projects. A typical Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles, conducting analysis, and supporting the execution of engineering projects across various disciplines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements.
• Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

• SAP
• GIS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and data.

Education:

• Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil.

Required Experience:

• 5 years' experience in utility design or related project construction design
• Professional Engineer License
• Public Utility experience
• Experience with meter capacity and regulatory experience
• Design experience related to construction
• Civil Engineer experience
