We are excited about what we do, and we need you on our team as we take on exciting challenges for NASA's pursuits in deep space exploration. This position is located in Houston, Tx. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Generate assembly and test procedures. Assemble and test hardware. Troubleshoot hardware and rework/reassemble as necessary. Design, assemble, and evaluate test fixtures as necessary. Coordinate with test facilities and generate documentation for external tests (i.e. EMI, Acoustic, AC Inverter, Vibration, Thermal Cycle). Assist Project Manager/Systems Engineer to coordinate with matrix organizations for analyses and verifications. Generate verification documentation and review design memos, test reports, etc.

Work with NASA Engineering to manage the assessment of certification products. Coordinate flight logistics as flight articles are prepared for launch. Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed. Maintain and ensure baseline test configuration and document any configuration changes. Facilitate across various stakeholders to achieve integration of program objectives.

Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors. Perform other duties as required to support the UPRITE project. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and at least 5 years of related experience. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.

Knowledge of systems engineering principles and associated documentation. Previous experience with NASA flight hardware testing and certification. This project is Class 1E and has some tailoring to the standard processes. Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision. Experience working in a team environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Working knowledge of NASA and JSC standard practices and requirements including safety, fault tolerance, and unique disciplines.

Experience with the development of space systems requirements documents including Verification and Validation documents.

Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of hardware. INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification. Python familiarity for testing of software/firmware. Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation databases and share point sites as well as typical systems engineering products. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 $.
