Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Structural Engineer focusing on modular solutions, you will design, analyze, and oversee the construction of structures and systems. Your main duties include ensuring TAS products meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and installation teams to deliver high-quality modular products that are structurally sound and fit for purpose. Typical products include data center infrastructure such as data halls and electrical modules, utility infrastructure like chiller plants, cooling towers, and central utility plants, along with foundation designs for various jobsite conditions as specified by customers.
You will work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Draftsmen/Designers, service engineers, and field technicians. The Structural Engineer handles all structural engineering and design functions, including preparing customer and fabrication drawings. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Job Skills
- Knowledge of ASCE, AISC, IBC, and other codes is a plus.
- Positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple customer needs.
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
- Ability to perform own design and drafting, and communicate with subordinate designers and drafters.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural).
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration.
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- Interest in pursuing a PE license.
- Experience with engineering software like Stru-cad, STAAD-Pro, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit, and Excel.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Majority of work is at a desk using a computer. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Capable of performing physical activities including sitting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity for data analysis and operation of a computer. Inside environmental conditions.
