Bridge EIT/Coordinator

In the role of Bridge EIT/Coordinator, we’ll count on you to:

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs
• Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete), box culvert, sign structures, retaining walls and interchange design for highway projects
• Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, and develop structural details using specialized software
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
• Develop structural details using basic structural design and analysis software
• Participate in bridge inspection, perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
• Perform other duties as needed

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Experience in bridge/structural design including deep foundation design and prestressed concrete design
• Knowledge of Projectwise, BGS, Bridgelink and familiarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, bridge standards, preferred practices and software
• Experience using Microstation, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Modeler, Projectwise, MathCAD, Bluebeam
• Familiarity with engineering software packages such as BGS, SPColumn, Bridge Link

• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, sp Column, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
• Bentley Open Bridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• Strong understanding and hands‑on use of computers for structural layout and design
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
