Houston, TX Area - Onsite Full Time Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Propulsion Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of propulsion fluid systems, tanks, and pressure vessels for advanced aerospace programs. This role will work across engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to develop, qualify, and improve propulsion hardware throughout the product lifecycle. This position may be filled at either the Engineer or Senior Engineer level based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support design, integration, and testing of propulsion tanks, pressure vessels, and fluid systems.
  • Develop and execute qualification, acceptance, and development test procedures.
  • Analyze test data and generate engineering reports and documentation.
  • Support hardware assembly, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design improvements.
  • Define test setups, instrumentation, and verification plans.
  • Collaborate with structures, manufacturing, systems, and test engineering teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, certification activities, and hardware validation.
  • Senior-level engineers may provide technical leadership, own hardware development, and lead test campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Engineer: 2–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Engineer: 10+ years of propulsion, fluid systems, or pressure vessel experience.
  • Experience with engineering testing, data analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of propulsion systems, pressure vessels, fluid systems, or structural testing.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Propulsion tanks, COPVs, or pressure vessel hardware.
  • Cryogenic, high-pressure gas, or liquid propulsion systems.
  • Qualification, proof, leak, burst, or fatigue testing.
  • MATLAB, Python, or similar engineering analysis tools.
