Position:
Middle Career Geophysicist (Houston, TX)
Division:
Digital & Integration
Join our dynamic team to support customers in utilizing Petrel E&P software and perform geophysical and geological interpretation tasks to deliver high quality project study results in a timely manner.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support throughout the Sales and Product & Service Delivery process.
- Assist with development of technical job designs and identify cost‑effective techniques.
- Consult with Design/Technical Engineers to optimize technical design.
- Respond to real‑time incidents, recover and investigate related to area of expertise.
- Evaluate technical viability and overall appraisal of tenders.
- Stay current on new technologies and maintain customer visibility through professional society activities.
- Understand competition’s technical offering and contribute to external technical societies.
- Write and review technical publications and engage with universities and research organizations.
- Advanced VSP processing, skilled in processing complex subsalt datasets.
- VSP survey design using ray and wave equation‑based methods.
- Experience with 3D DAS VSP processing.
- Experience in AVO walkaway VSPs.
- Salt proximity survey processing and modeling.
- Advanced VSP imaging workflow experience.
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related Earth Science discipline.
