Position Overview
Woolpert is hiring an experienced Roadway Engineer (EIT) to join our dynamic Transportation Design team in our Houston, TX office. This role will involve working on a variety of transportation projects across multiple states, clients, and disciplines, including roadways, bikeways, pedestrian infrastructure, site civil projects, and transportation planning. Engineers are encouraged to work under Licensed Professionals, learn from industry experts, and explore specialties such as aviation, military, private development, and trail design.
WhatYou Will Do
- Work under the advisement of Licensed Professionals to fulfill civil and transportation tasks.
- Assist with design and production of roadway, bikeway, pedestrian, site civil, and transportation planning projects.
- Use multiple computer programs, following training, to perform engineering and design tasks.
- Apply knowledge to calculations pertaining to design.
- Aid in the design of 3D models for projects.
- Assist in estimating cost for projects and funding.
- Assist project staff as needed for a variety of projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of transportation design experience.
- EIT/FE Certification with the ability to obtain PE within 12 months.
- Experience in ORD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects across multiple teams and disciplines.

Pay Range: $75,400 – $94,300 USD
