Lead Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer / Structural Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing engineering and project management firm specializing in industrial, energy, and food processing facilities.

This is a leadership role based in either Houston, TX where you will take ownership of structural design delivery while guiding a high-performing engineering team across complex industrial projects.

With a strong pipeline of industrial and energy work, this is an opportunity to step into a key technical leadership position with real project impact and visibility.

• Lead structural analysis and design for industrial buildings, steel structures, and foundations using STAAD, RISA, and related tools
• Manage and mentor a structural/civil engineering team, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule performance
• Develop technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and scopes of work for complex industrial projects
• Review and approve construction documents including GA drawings, shop drawings, and engineering reports
• Coordinate directly with clients, fabricators, and contractors to ensure project execution aligns with requirements
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing and new industrial structural conditions
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and engineering best practices

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial, steel, or building design
• Strong experience in STAAD or RISA, Civil 3D, and structural detailing
• Proven track record managing engineering teams and project deliverables
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and building code design principles
• Experience in food processing, oil & gas, energy, or industrial facilities strongly preferred
