Field Bridge is looking for a Lab Chemist in Houston, Texas, to work for the world's largest oilfield service company.

Pay/Schedule is: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, onsite. Weekly pay + benefits.

Under the direction of the Fluids Sustaining Team Leader, the Lab Chemist performs lab-scale testing and investigations to develop and sustain SLB's Drilling and Completion Fluids product lines, as part of a flexible team solving urgent business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, optimize, and mix drilling and completion fluid formulations on a lab scale
• Conduct lab-scale testing under temperature and pressure per API Recommended Practice
• Manage individual technical projects with minimal oversight
• Prepare technical reports; analyze data and draw conclusions from results
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
• Communicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Author/co-author technical reports, papers, and presentations
• Collaborate across Engineering, Technical Services, Regulatory Compliance, Supply Chain, and Operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent required;
  Master's preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in Drilling and Completion Fluids lab and/or operations required; 5+ years preferred
• Statistical analysis experience preferred
• Hands-on lab-scale testing experience valued over higher-level education alone
