Our client is an active onshore upstream oil & gas operator seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to support asset evaluations, forecasting, and development planning. This role will play a key part in reservoir characterization, economic evaluations, and future inventory assessment across unconventional assets. This will be high impact role with exposure to development planning and strategic decision making. This will be opportunity to work on meaningful evaluations within an active asset base and in very collaborative, technical driven environment.
The position will report to SVP Reservoir Engineering.
- Perform PDP forecasting utilizing pressure and pressure-normalized rate data
- Conduct unconventional reservoir evaluations using public and internal datasets
- Build and maintain undeveloped type curves to support development planning and valuation
- Assess depletion behavior and perform parent/child well risking for future locations
- Integrate reservoir engineering inputs with commercial and economic drivers to support asset evaluations
- Support corporate initiatives including A&D and strategic planning as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with geology, operations, and finance teams
- 5+ years of reservoir engineering experience with an active onshore operator
- Strong proficiency with ARIES (required)
- PowerBI or data visualization experience
- Solid understanding of the full range of commercial inputs that drive reservoir and economic evaluations
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline
